Comments: stupid bully cop with predictable sub-plot of a bullying tactic that haunts him and connects him to the betel nut girl he befriends while over-attempting to solve a minor case that's open and shut to everybody else about a junkie who ODs. YAWN. Truly awful acting by the cop. And it was "acting", not a believable bone in the character's body. I can't remember when I cared less about a character in a film. But that often happens when a script is so lame that even a good actor could't make it believable.

Summary: Veteran detective Kuo is in charge of case of drug overdose and death of a young girl. Superiors see it as a textbook crime and urge him to conclude the case, but experience and sense tell Juo otherwise. And just when Kuo is on the verge of a breakthrough, his own dark past is brought to light…
