A lioness is exiled for having cubs with an outsider. A baboon starts a jealous rivalry with the new leader of the troop. A young hyena loses her mother. A young elephant must cope with a new arrival. S1.E2 ∙ Conflict Kali the lioness is forced to confront the male from the pride stalking her. A cheetah and an ostrich both try to raise their offspring. Bakari tries to find a female to help him raise the baby he rescued. S1.E3 ∙ Invasion The incredible anticipation of the annual Great Migration is being felt by all of the Serengeti's families as they wait with great desperation for it to arrive. The land continues to get hotter and hunger start to bite as food becomes ever more scarce for the predators. With the Great Migration now in full flow, there are winners and losers on both sides. S1.E4 ∙ Misfortune The long-awaited arrival of the great migration brings opportunities and food in abundance, but it also increases conflict as every one of the Serengeti's families is put to the test. S1.E5 ∙ Exodus The dry season is now upon the animals of the Serengeti, the toughest of times for some but a food bonanza for others. The increasing drought turns the waterhole into a death trap for the herds, but for the lions it's a gift and Kali and her cubs are finally able to enjoy life back in the heart of the pride. Jasari and his wild dog family are under siege from Zalika and her hyena clan, so they must train their pups to fight back if they are going to survive. S1.E6 ∙ Rebirth It's the time of plenty in the Serengeti, with food in abundance, but a series of unexpected events turns families against each other and stretches relationships to breaking point. Emotions run high as each of the characters struggles to cope with their worlds being turned upside down. S2.E1 ∙ Intrigue A significant storm threatens to upend the tenuous peace of the creatures' lives. S2.E2 ∙ Change After the storm, the vast landscape is flooded and all the families are battling to reach higher ground, but as the flood waters rise the danger of being washed away grows too. S2.E3 ∙ Renewal As the land recovers from the floods old rivalries reignite as finding food becomes the focus again, but while the young learn to hunt families are divided and loved ones mourned. S2.E4 ∙ Leadership As tensions rise it's a dangerous time to be born. Old enemies are causing trouble for the lions and baboons while the hyenas make life hard for the jackals and the leopard cubs. S2.E5 ∙ Power Power is shifting among the animal families as new threats emerge. As their young are growing and everyone is fighting to survive, who will be the winners and who will be losers? S2.E6 ∙ Reckoning As everyone faces the final reckoning the Great River Crossing begins. Gnu and Shani's foal are tested by crocodiles. Duma must save his mother. Does Kali find happiness at last? S3.E1 ∙ Refuge All our animal families make the most of the good times when a new oasis brings untold riches. But they face devastation when a towering inferno takes over. Will anyone survive? S3.E2 ∙ Inferno In the aftermath of the great fire, homes are destroyed and families separated. Our animals must find new ways to survive in an unrecognisable and inhospitable landscape. S3.E3 ∙ Kinship The drama now centres around the river where enchanting new characters, such as an adorable baby hippo, meet old favourites. Bonds of kinship are tested as adventures continue. S3.E4 ∙ Dominion The search for a home brings tragedy and triumph as baby hippo Mafuta faces new dangers. Crocodile Magamba defends her hatchlings, and Duma the cheetah struggles to make friends. S3.E5 ∙ Pressure As the land dries, everyone struggles to find water. The hippos get trapped in the shrinking lake, and Nalla the elephant finds a clever solution to quench everyone's thirst. S3.E6 ∙ Restoration As the animal families escape the drought, the land returns to its former beauty. New life is born, old rivalries are laid to rest and new alliances are forged. |
