Starting each segment with a snippet from Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" pumped me every time, but it sets the scene up very inappropriately Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you Some of them want to abuse you Some of them want to be abused I've watched most every doc the Jouberts have made. Some of them are brutal, and would be very well served by the Manson cut, but this is one of their gentle, family friendly ones. It's a love poem to the place they have lived and filmed for 30 or 40 years It's beautifully shot, very intimate, and dare I say quite arty. Like shooting a zebra crossing reflected in a giant raindrop hanging from a twig More power to the Jouberts. They've done outstanding work for a long time. I’m just not interested in bugs and birds and fish and meerkats. I want nothing but Big Cats. YMMV. This is educational and gorgeous, and the Okavango Delta in Botswana is an amazing place. Termites are primarily responsible for the way the delta is formed. Boo Ya! Summary: Experience the wildlife of the Okavango Delta, an oasis and lush paradise in Botswana, Southern Africa that connects a wide variety of creatures. |
