Brad Bestelink has worked with the Jouberts for decades in Botswana, so he knows the territory and how to film it, as well as how to manufacture a story. I just don't like humans in my big cat documentaries, especially when they compete with the cats for the viewers' emotional connection The Joubert's Eye of the Leopard is a much better Leopard doc, imo, with Jeremy Irons narrating. Boo ya! Some good shots, not a lot, but it’s the epitome of what I hate about these “oh, it’s all about me filming big cats” … and leopards are kind of boring, and I hated all the needle drops. A lot! Summary: A nature documentary that follows two leopard cubs as they make the journey from infancy into adulthood. |
