Comments: I'm trying to find good films from Taiwan. This was one-third OK. The bits about the two singers is good but the other two stories aren't. And making it into one of those Babel-like disperate connectedness things was a nice try only.


Summary: Set within Taiwan "A Place of One's Own" tells three separate stories that converges in unexpected ways.

Indie rock singer Muzi gets arrested for drugs and his popularity declines. Deep in debt, Muzi must move out of his home and his relationship with fellow musician Kassey suffers as well after she becomes increasingly popular.

Lin along with his wife and son live on a mountain, within close proximity to a cemetery. He works as a master funeral origami maker and is a firm believer in the afterlife. Lin also suffers from cancer and must find money for his surgery. He sets out to create a gigantic origami equal to the beauty of the Taj Mahal.

A computer geek resorts to selling virtual land to a friend while also leaving his former job to become a real estate agent. His mother is a caretaker of tombs and one day, she hears a secret from the dead that could change the lives of various persons ...
