Comments: I don't really have words for this one. From the producers of Black Coal, Thin Ice, it has that look and feel. It's remarkably excellent in the cinematography, acting, sound design, and place departments. Shot in a 90's Rural Chinese Factory town, with giant smelting factories, the film is so dirty and muddy it might as well be in Black&White. It's gorgeously and creatively shot. But the nugget of the film begs the question: "Couldn't this have been done better"? It's beautiful and dark, in search of a story.
Summary: A man who is laid off from a steel factory desperately wants to chase a serial killer in a small city in Southern China.
