Comments: This film breaks the winning streak of dropping the Title Card an hour in. I wanted to like this but the Director chose to start his film with a breathy, woe-is-me dude exposition so that the next female character who appears on screen can get grabbed by her hair and have her head yanked back and forth by said breathy expositionist and we’ll understand it

What a dick way to start a film. Problem is: the film is beautiful and said female is Tang Wei, so I endured

Never came to enjoy spending time with either of the two main characters

What a spectacular set that is in the back nine. The single take business makes clear it was one place. Amazing set

An overwhelmingly immersive experience but I didn't really enjoy being there
