Comments: I enjoy whimsical PTA more than serious PTA

The two mains here are outstanding and fun. PTA makes these films that go in so many directions it's mind boggling in the best way

My half star demotion is for two things:
1) He showed the gun on the table a few times and never used it: Jon Peters never came after these kids who flooded his house and destroyed his car?
2) I wish there would have been somehow to not show the two mains being petty towards one another, by wanting to be seen by them with someone else. It kept the film from being other-worldly


Summary: LICORICE PIZZA is the story of Alana Kane and Gary Valentine growing up, running around and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley, 1973. Written and Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the film tracks the treacherous navigation of first love.
