Comments: Mildly interesting with some quirky visual bits, but the thing is ... Annie Clark knows how to act. If she doesn't strike you as phony she should win your heart

I don't listen to her music much, don't know much about her. I was completely taken in by her naive , optimistic , don't-give-a-fuck persona. It's sort of beside the point to wrangle whether who we see in the film is truly Annie or complete fabrication. I think she gets that, and , uhm , that's what the film is about, and she knows you know she knows you know she knows

I don't care about anything but I hope to see Annie Clark in more films


Summary: St. Vincent sets out to make a documentary about her music, but when she hires a close friend to direct, notions of reality, identity, and authenticity grow increasingly distorted and bizarre.
