Comments: I watched this first and then the Documentary. Both are good
I enjoyed this for the drama. There's certainly drama in the documentary, and it was interesting having viewed them in the order I did to think back: "oh, that was licensed drama", rather than if I had seen them the other way around: "oh, this is licensed drama" Either way, it's a compelling and almost unbelievable story. The movie version makes much bigger drama about anesthetizing the kids, and keeping it secret. The doc makes it seem like a normal step to take with a lot of people participating in it 13/13 is amazing, especially with regards to the littlest kid who was the last one out, and it was uncertain whether or not they had a face mask that would fit his little face The Doc makes a point that if just one of the kids had come out dead the Thai government would have held the divers legally responsible. Yikes! The divers apparently had a James Bond style getaway planned in case of such a thing Summary: A rescue mission is assembled in Thailand where a group of young boys and their soccer coach are trapped in a system of underground caves that are flooding. |
