Comments: I'm not against remakes at all but put off seeing this because I loved the original so much I didn't think there was any reason to see it. But wow! This is a great film too. Different, yes. Americanized, yep. But great as well. It does a few things better, a few more not as well, and it does a credible job holding down the fort in second place.

Summary: A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.
