Comments: I don't want to make a big deal out of this but Interstellar is the most Korean Hollywood film I've ever seen. I loved it but only give it 9 because the first 42 minutes blows chunks. A masterpiece must succeed in spite of itself.

No science fiction here. The film is a fantasy; the melodrama--eye-rollingly laughable melodrama--is perfectly controlled and executed. Only the Koreans do that, even try it. And it would have never succeeded with lesser actors. I won't name any names. But really. (I was so uninterested and in the dark about the film the only person I knew was in it was Matthew. Everyone else was a surprise).

"Love" doing some fancy dance through space and time--Awesome. I love love. The action was pretty good too. I especially like the part where their arms go up. Romilly was super stoned the whole time. Yo dude. Case used to play guitar in Little Feat. If you give me, weed, whites, and wine
And you show me a sign
I'll be willin'

Summary: In the near future Earth has been devastated by drought and famine, causing a scarcity in food and extreme changes in climate. When humanity is facing extinction, a mysterious rip in the space-time continuum is discovered, giving mankind the opportunity to widen their lifespan. A group of explorers must travel beyond our solar system in search of a planet that can sustain life. The crew of the Endurance are required to think bigger and go further than any human in history as they embark on an interstellar voyage, into the unknown. However, through the wormhole, one hour is the equivalent of seven years back on Earth, so the mission won't work if the people on Earth are dead by the time they pull it off. And Coop, the pilot of the Endurance, must decide between seeing his children again and the future of the human race.
