Comments: Good creature feature. Some of the tension is muted because they kill the premise early and often, and there's many prompts to ask yourself "I wonder why they ...". But that's movies. Never mind the details.

Cut to the chase: Emily Blunt. No way another actress could pull off or reach the level of commitment she brings. It's awe inspiring, then amusing. Why is she doing it? The world of this film is not so important she needs to be so intense about it. But why not? The boy kid does his best impression of her and it's hilarious because he doesn't have her guts or her chops because he's a kid.

The look, the premise, the sound, the devotion. The Creature. All the goods are here.

I put off watching this for a few years because the talk about it was ... off-putting. No fun talking about what movies really mean, what they're really about. Especially "horror" movies.

Summary: A family is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.
