Comments: Loads of fun even though, as crazy as it is, it's mildly reigned in Sono as pertains to his crazy works. The kills aren't terribly graphic (many happen off screen) and there's no nudity. But with a line like "you are all super fucksters' (meant as a compliment), and the sheer volume of blood on display you know it's Sono

Sono's done a lot of large ensemble cast flicks, but after experiencing Red Post, I can't help but pay extra attention to the peripheral characters ... and the extras. The unnamed. The folks who only get to shout a line or two or sing a Romanian lullaby and get killed. They all contribute. When the camera is on them, the film is theirs. We also get single episode appearances from Mariko Tsutsui and Yuki Sakurai !

The whole bit with the shrinking Queen who gets kicked under the table, and her sister (whose nether regions are the Hotel) ... no words

I'd like to know who the actress is who played the one of the duo with her hair up and her butt cheeks on display ... I don't know what their position is, they were main(ish) characters, tho. She was fabulous to watch -- off the ball, so to speak

The 'main' characters are great, although Ami Tomite spends 90% of her shaved head screen time doing nothing more than screaming bloody murder. Mitsushima Shinnosuke has the Sono vibe pulsing through his veins. Kaho killing people left and right, crushing a girl's neck and then pummeling her in the head after she's dead. Get out!

The series didn't seem as 'chaotic' as others have described it. It's bouncy but not hard to tag along with. This 10 episode version has spots that feel a little loose but I loved every minute of it. I liked having time to breathe. I can't wait to watch the Movie version. I'll hold my breath the whole run time

Sono gets music. The classical numbers are all spot on. The Romanian lullabies killed me. So lovely. And Sono's pick for the closing credits "Bumps in the Night" is perfect. I waited for it, and listened all the way through, every episode

Summary: Manami goes out to celebrate her 22nd birthday with friends and narrowly misses being killed in a spree murder. But her plight is far from over. Two vampires, K, from the Dracula clan and Yamada from the Corvin clan are after her. Manami has no idea but she's been chosen to deliver the Draculas from doom. K absconds with Manami but then Yamada seizes and imprisons her at the Corvin vampires' Hotel Requiem, aka Tokyo Vampire Hotel. The Corvins have a terrifying scheme to lure young male and female mortals to the hotel on the last day of the world. The mortals will have no choice but to remain in the hotel that doubles as an indestructible shelter. The vampires' motive is to use the mortals as an endless supply of blood. Will Manami escape? What is K's secret mission? There will be 3 confrontations between the mortals, the Draculas and the Corvins! ©2017NIKKATSU
