Sometimes you can find a gem when there’s a couple good actors in a film that didn’t get any traction, hoping it was maybe a little too intense for the market. But this is a whiffleball Mugi has a couple moments where the director probably said “Here’s point A and here’s Point B. Get there. I’ll film it” and she shines, briefly, but most of the film is super dry line readings Summary: Watako loses her lover Kimura in a Tokyo traffic accident. Determined to move on, she hides her pain and resumes life with her husband. However, Kimura's memory haunts her, forcing her to confront the deep grief she tried to bury. |
