Summary: Director Keralino Sandorovich, best known for his British troupe Monty Python inspired wacky comedies, brings us a black comedy in the Japanese/British style about an unsuccessful Gravure tarento (pin-up) model name Ayame (the pretty Riko Narumi in her first starring role) who unwittingly steals a magazine from a convenience store because she was shocked that her photo in it was printed upside down and a bit panicky. She gets caught and as a sentence, she must perform community duties by becoming a police chief for a day. During the day a robbery occurs at a convenience store and instead of letting a real police chief deal with the robbery she decides to take the matter into her own hands. While the story tosses reality out the door, the stars and the unusual supporting casts of characters keeps this all-out comedy interesting. |
