Comments: Yoshino Kimura, Makiko Watanabe, and a cameo by Takashi Miike. This has been on my backburner watchlist forever. I recently discovered Akira Kurosawa's daughter, Yû, is the Multiple Personality Girl, so I thought ... let's watch it

There's a reason this film isn't on anybody's Top J-Horror list: It's competently made and most of the acting is okay, but it's only mildly interesting and not scary

It's also more about one revenge spirit who inhabits the girl than about her Multiple Personalities

The film premiered in theaters on a double bill with Ringo 0: Birthday in 2000. I guess Kimura and Watanabe weren't established actresses yet and the director hadn't established himself beyond his pinku roots

Yû Kurosawa is kinda cool though. She has a very subtle evil smile and the eyes to go with it. Too bad she made only a few more movies after this. She married a rock star, took up motherhood, and stopped acting

Summary: When a woman, able to read the thoughts of others, comes to help survivors of the 1995 Kobe earthquake, she encounters a girl with Multiple Personality Disorder whose dangerous 13th personality, Isola, must be stopped.
