cogito ergo mac

Why I don't use Safari

  1. No separators in Bookmarks Menus
  2. No Preference setting to force links that are coded to open in a new window to open in a new tab

4 Comments:

  • sure you can - command click them will open in a new tab (shift-command-click will make that tab active after clicking)

  • You're right, I know about that. I'll change my rant to say "No Preference setting 'to force ....'

  • There's a hidden setting for it, and many third-party plugins (such as SafariStand) provide that preference in their GUI aswell as various optimization applications (Cocktail et al).

Here's a good link for you. It's a "set and forget" kind of thing.
